World of Warcraft – Item Upgrading The upgrade option allows players to boost an item's gear rating up 700 points, and then add a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you take them to the Kiln. Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For instance, a perfectly broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade and aren't worth it. Weapons Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit probability and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons have a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Many weapons also have a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a unit. In some instances, this bonus can add up to more than the amount of damage that a weapon is able to upgrade by itself. The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity and level. For instance, a +2 weapon requires two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue to increase until it is required to use a higher tier of Smithing Stones, at which the number will be reset to one. The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. This is generally a positive thing, but it can also have negative consequences. Upgrades can make items impossible to use, unless you are very lucky. item upgrade can also be upgraded to improve their stats. In general, the greater defense your character is, the more value you can get from every point of health you have therefore it is important to upgrade your armor as much as possible. To upgrade your armor, go to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game and in order to unlock each one you must complete an additional quest involving the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu. For instance the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep pace with a good-sized group of adversaries in most cold environments, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, granting the protection needed to survive the full-on assault with a few of your friends. It isn't possible to upgrade armor like weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor for physical power or spell power. It's also a good idea to save your armor upgrades for the armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you wear for the final boss fight as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask. Trinkets A trinket is a tiny and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also be an object or ornament that serves a function but isn't essential as a Thimble. In some cultures, a trinket is a way to show affection or friendship between family members. In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. In contrast to other upgrades for items trinkets, trinkets can be exchanged at will without losing their stats. Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of each zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets. Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to buying a brand new trinket. item upgrades is possible to upgrade players for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base ilvl as the older one, and come with an additional upgrade bonus of 1. Once the old Trinkets have become no longer useful, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded among players, making them an alternative to gold. In general players should upgrade their most important items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear and finally other equipment that they won't be replacing anytime soon (such as a ring or an cloak).
